You have to work WITH, ACROSS or AGAINST the grain of the hair depends how close do you want to get with your shave and how sensititve your skin is. As you go with the hair's grain you have less chance to break out! Whoever I recommended to it worked!

Always strech the skin in the opposite direction to which you’re shaving!
My belief is shaving to the wrong direction causes the razor bumps but there's an other reason too, bacteria! WASH YOUR HANDS PROPERLY BEFORE! you start to shave or when you touch your face!!
You exfoliate your skin when you shaving so your post-shave facial skin's protective acid mantle it isn't formed yet so your skin more vulnerable by bacteria. ATTENTION my housewife friend!! OMG!! OK, I confess honestly this product was the last one what I started to use. I was the same sceptical about "natural cleaning" supply.
